Special Award
2004 saw the presentation of a special award to recognise a very dedicated and well respected man, the late Rex Barry. The award was presented to Rex’s daughter Amanda Barry and partner Corrine Stephen. The text of the award read as follows:-

From 2005 the Rex Barry Award became a permanent fixture of the Australian Country Music Achiever Awards landscape. Each year this will be presented to an industry achiever, to honour the memory of Rex Barry.
