Dianna Corcoran

Drawing on real life inspiration, two-time Golden Guitar trophy winner Dianna Corcoran is one of Australian country music's most distinguished vocal and songwriting talents.

Dianna released her first album - Little Bit Crazy - in 2003 and won the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia Golden Guitar trophy for New Talent of the Year the following year.

After numerous writing and recording stints in the US, Dianna's debut was followed by her brilliant second release - Then There's Me. This album earned Dianna her second Golden Guitar trophy - the prestigious title of Female Artist of the Year at the 2008 CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.

Dianna has been deployed 3 times with the Australian Defense Force to war zones across the Middle East, Solomon Islands, Cyprus & Egypt to entertain the troops.

With her 'down to earth, pop country girl' approach to performance, two multi-award winning albums under her belt and over 400 awards throughout her career, Dianna released her fresh, upbeat, third album Keep Breathing on January 16th to rave reviews. Keep Breathing was produced by two time Grammy Award winner Rebecca Lynn Howard & Elisha Hoffman and held the #1 position on the country charts for FIVE consecutive weeks, with it’s first single Thank You For Cheating On Me. The second single, “Wrong Girl”, not only held the #1 position on the Country Charts for 4 weeks, but also went to #1 on Big Pond Music’s singles chart ahead of some the worlds biggest names.

The outstanding success of Keep Breathing continues with Dianna recently being announced as Australian Country Music’s Independent Artist Of The Year. Thank You For Cheating On Me took out the APRA / AMCOS Single of The Year and also won her the title of Female Vocalist Of the Year at the Southern Stars Australian Indi Country Music Awards.

As we move into 2011, Dianna is once again all smiles with Keep Breathing scoring 3 Nominations in the Jayco Country Music Awards of Australia. Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year & Single of the Year. Her single Thank You For Cheating On Me is also named as the biggest Country Tracks Hit for Australian Country Music in 2010.

DIANNA?S ACHIEVEMENTS – POINT FORM…
• Born and raised in Parkes NSW, Dianna Corcoran is a self-taught singer/songwriter.
• Dianna spent her childhood and teens competing in talent quests and collected over 400 awards for her musical talent until she left home.
• 2003 – Dianna chose to take a professional leap and recorded her self-financed debut album, Little Bit Crazy.
• October 2003 – awarded Australian Independent Rising Star of the Year Award.
• October 2003 – signed to Compass Bros Records/Sony BMG after label manager Graham Thompson hears her on ABC Radio’s Saturday Night Country.
• December 2003 – Receives two nominations in the Country Music Awards of Australia 2004. New Talent of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
• January 2004 – awarded the Golden Guitar trophy for New Talent of the Year at the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.
• February 2004 – selected to receive a $10,000 grant at the Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA) Professional Development Awards. This allowed Dianna to travel to Nashville for a two month stint of writing and recording that would become the backbone of her eagerly awaited second album - Then There’s Me.
• 2006 – recorded Then There’s Me in Nashville, USA.
• January 2007 – Then There’s Me was released, going straight to #8 on the ARIA charts for sales in its first week.
• February 2007 – Then There’s Me hit #1 on FOXTEL’s Country Music Channel.
• March 2007 – travelled to the Solomon Islands to perform for the troops.
• June 2007 – travelled to the Middle East to perform for the troops.
• December 2007 – received three nominations in the 2008 Country Music Awards - Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year for Then There’s Me, as well as a third nomination for Vocal Collaboration of the Year with Karl Broadie (Count Your Blessings).
• January 2008 – awarded Australian Country Music’s Female Artist of the Year.
• May 2008 – hit the road for her 'Thank You Australia' road trip. This was a media run throughout rural and metro areas all around the country to thank radio stations, retailers, print media and fans that helped her achieve the Female Artist of the Year title.
• August 2008 – takes part in the ever-popular 'Broad' Tour with Deborah Conway, launched at the Sydney Opera House.
• June 2009 – returned to Nashville to record her third release, an album produced by two time Grammy Award Winner Rebecca Lynn Howard & Elisha Hoffman.
• December 2009 - released the first single Thank You For Cheating On Me from her incredible new album Keep Breathing.
• January 2010 - Dianna officially releases Keep Breathing. A release that met with rave reviews and an outstanding Launch Concert at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
• February 2010 - Due to popular demand, Dianna re-launches Keep Breathing at an encore acoustic concert to a full house at the Slide Bar in Sydney.
• March 2010 - The first single from Keep Breathing, Thank You For Cheating On Me hits #1 on the Australian Country Tracks Top 30 and maintains position for 5 consecutive weeks.
• June 2010 – The second single Wrong Girl from Dianna’s album Keep Breathing is released with the Music Video being filmed at Sydney’s world class Audi Centre.
• September 2010 – Wrong Girl hits number 1 on Bigpond Music’s Singles chart ahead of some of the worlds biggest names. It also Hits #1 on the Country Tracks Top 30 and 989FM’s top singles chart.
• October 2010 – Dianna is named Australian Country Music’s Independent Artist of the year. Thank You For Cheating On Me takes out APRA/AMCOS Single of the Year and
wins Dianna the title of Female Vocalist of the Year at the Southern Stars Australian Indi Country Music Awards
• November 2010, Dianna is once again all smiles with Keep Breathing scoring 3 finalist spots in the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia for 2011 - Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year & Single of the Year.
• January 2011 - Thank You For Cheating On Me is named as the biggest Country Tracks Hit for Australian Country Music in 2010.
