Known for not only her infectious smile & unique vocals, but her entertaining style on stage, Tracy has gone from strength to strength since releasing her debut solo album Back There at the 2007 Gympie Optus National Music Muster, where it achieved the Highest Selling Album for that year and more recently with her latest award winning album, Driver’s Seat, leaving us with no doubt, with its constant theme of confidence & control, that Tracy is indeed behind the wheel, in the driver's seat.
She has toured extensively throughout Australia, performing at many festivals, including; Mildura, Katherine, Bunyip, Gympie, Urban Muster Caboolture, Mud Bulls & Music, Barham, and Tamworth, and also overseas. Tracy was invited to perform at the CMA Festival in Nashville US, on the Aristo Media Global Showcase, and on the ‘Australian Artists Tomkins Guitars Show'. In 2010 she was invited to tour with multi golden guitar winner Sara Storer as her opening act, proving she is rapidly becoming a major force in Australian country music.
Her touching first single Brave remained at #1 on the Country Tracks Charts for four consecutive weeks and peaked at #15 on the Country Music Channel Top 30. This track, along with her album, earned her three finalist nominations in the Southern Stars Independent Country Music Awards of Australia for Album of the Year, Single of the Year & Female Vocalist of the Year and her follow up second single, Metrosexual Craze has also been a Top 5 Country Tracks Chart hit, reaching the #2 position, and remaining there for five weeks. Her new single, 42 Margaret & Vera, a moving tribute to courageous acts during times of war, delves into Tracy’s more serious side and currently sits in the Top 20 on radio and #25 on the Country Music Channel.
Following Tracy’s win of the prestigious 2010 Golden Saddle Award, the annual event which recognises independent artists for their hard work, dedication to their music and industry, she was also named as a Finalist in the 2010 CMC Top 30 Oz Artist of the Year. To top off an already incredibly successful year, Tracy received two finalist spots in the pinnacle of Australian country music, the 2011 39th CMAA Jayco Country Music Awards of Australia - Maton New Talent of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.
“There is a real sense of direction, lyric triumph and bravery on so many levels. The songs make me feel like I’m a passenger in Tracy’s car while she is confidently driving – knowing exactly where she is heading.” - Sara Storer.
Driver’s Seat, impeccably produced by Matt Fell, has taken this entertaining artist to another level and will undoubtedly continue to be a hit with both fans and industry alike. Don’t miss the ride!
