Stanthorpe born singer/songwriter Amanda Halloran, graduated from the CMAA Australian College of Country Music in 2006. In 2008 she won the title of Voice of Urban Country and was also a Toyota Star Maker Finalist that year. In 2009 she supported Markus Meir and Sinead Burgess and also opened the festivities for the “Burbs and Bush” Concert for the 2009 Urban Country Music Festival.
Amanda released her debut album I Wanna Know in May 2009 - recorded/produced by Brendan Radford. Her debut single Not That Into Me, co-written with Brendan, climbed to #40 on Mildura’s 3hotfm Top 100 country chart. The film clip for the track was made with Ross Wood and was listed in the top 50 clips on CMC for 2009.
Amanda released her second single I Wanna Know, another co-write with Brendan Radford, to radio in 2010 - also releasing a film clip for the track directed and produced by Ross Wood (171 Entertainment). The clip was shot in her home town of Stanthorpe on the family property and at the delightful Granite Belt Maze, and it is now a new addition on CMC and can be requested at www.countrymusicchannel.com.au
In 2010 Amanda was nominated as a TOP 10 Blues n Roots finalist for her original song I Should’ve Known for the 2010 Music Oz Awards. She was also nominated as a Top 50 Country Artist in the Music OZ Awards. Her new single Let It Rain was released to Radio on December's NfS and can be requested at your local radio stations. It’s been climbing the top 100 country chart for Mildura 3hotfm.
Nominated for the third time as a top 20 Toyota Star Maker Finalist in 2011 Amanda was delighted to once again have the opportunity to perform in the prestigious competition that has launched many successful recording artists. Amanda began her career in country ten years ago this coming June.
Amanda, a spirited, heartfelt entertainer/songwriter, has a unique style, a dynamic, powerful voice with a wide range and her reportoire embraces country, rock, folk, celtic, blues & soul.
