Christie’s ambition is to be a professional singer/songwriter, and she is already well on her way to success...
Christie as been nominated for a MO AWARD - 2011 & 2010 – Best Young Talent – Johnny O’Keefe Encouragement Award for excellence in Live Performance. 2010 saw Christie graduate from the Talent Development Project and perform at Schools Spectacular at Sydney Entertainment Centre. Christie received a $20,000 scholarship from the University of Western Sydney and commenced a Bachelor of Music after receiving 98% for HSC Music and an ATAR of 92.90. Christie was selected to perform as one of two vocalists from NSW at the Opera House in Encore of HSC 2009 with her own composition When It Gets This Hot. Christie was named winner of the Australian Country Talent Seekers Quest (ACTS) in Parkes as well as Mildura Senior Overall Champion and Open Age Songwriter winner in 2010.
Christie graduated from the CMAA Australian Academy of Country Music Senior Course in 2010 with a scholarship from the CCMA/Tamworth Regional Council and graduated Camerata Country Music Youth School in 2008 with a TSA scholarship. In 2009 Christie was awarded the Frank Ifield’s Country Performer of the year.
Christie has won many songwriting awards, including five National Songwriting Titles (3 TSA Awards and 2 CCMA Awards).
Christie won the “Jazzer Smith” Open Age Talent Quest and the CCMA Best Young Talent Vocal, Best Young Talent Gospel and Open Age Songwriter in Tamworth 2010 and has won over 250 Vocal Awards.
With an engaging personality and passion for music, Christie is an energetic and proactive performer who never fails to impress.
