Australian Country Music has a prominent dance following and this years annual Country Dance Festival will have audiences and competitors tapping their feet to the biggest event yet.
The Australian Country Dance Festival 2010 will be held April 29th to Sunday 2nd May at the West Tamworth Leagues Club, Phillip Street, Tamworth.
This dance crazed Festival will feature four days of competitions, socials, street dancing, rock and roll dance workshops, partner and two step workshops and clogging.
This is Australia’s only Country Dance Festival and combined with the Line Dance Championships, make next weekend all the more exciting.
“Country Dance competitions are always fast paced and exhilarating with the combination of creative choreography and those country music tunes. Tamworth is the ideal location to hold the Championships as it reinforces that Tamworth is the Country Music Capital of Australia”, said Chris Watson, Event Director and 2009 Line Dance Personality of the Year.
International and national Line Dance Champions and Country Music artists will be making special appearances including the Queen of Line Dance from the USA, Scooter Lee and Newcastle’s singing sensation, Victoria McGee.
Scooter Lee is coming to Australia as part of her 2010 world tour and will be performing at West Leagues Club on Sunday 2nd May from 7pm. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Travelworld Tamworth in The Atrium, or by phoning 0404 170 276 or at the door from 6pm.
Scooter Lee is very excited to be returning back to Australia and will perform all of her classic hits catered for lovers of country music, rock & roll dancers and line dancers.
This vibrant, colourful and dazzling form of dance is contagious and there will be workshops and various dance classes available for all ages and abilities to get you kicking up your heels.
