The 40th Jayco Tamworth Country Music Festival transport solution has now become a reality with the $10.00 wristbands on sale around the bustling city from today, Tuesday 17 January 2012.

Festival goers can now purchase a Festival Express wristband that will give them access to the bus service for 10 full days for a one off fee of just $10. That’s right, for a one-off fee of just $10.00 you will have access to unlimited travel on the Festival Express throughout the entire 2012 Jayco Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Mayor of Tamworth Regional Council, Cnr Col Murray said “This is one of the most exciting initiatives in our Festivals history”.

“Festival patrons will now be able to get from venue to venue to see their favourite artists for a one off fee of just $10.00. This provides enormous savings for these families who are visiting our Festival” said Cnr Murray.

Cnr Murray went on to say “We feel that this will provide locals with the opportunity to freely move around our city during the Festival to avoid congestion”.

Wristbands are on sale at various locations around the city including, Tamworth Visitor Information Centre (corner Peel and Murray Streets), Festival HQ (Ray Walsh House, Tamworth Regional Council), Beno’s merchandise stands in Peel Street, the Longyard Hotel, the Big Golden Guitar, Wests & Diggers and onboard The Festival Express Buses.

The Festival Express buses will run throughout the Festival from Friday 20 January until Sunday 29 January at the following times:

Friday 20 Jan: 7.30am – 5.30pm

Saturday 21 Jan – Wednesday 25 Jan: 7.00am – midnight

Thursday 26 Jan – Saturday 28 Jan: 7.00am – 3.00am
